Good practices for the use of radio communication.

Range2022-04-28T16:29:49-03:00

WithUtilize a distância máxima de 15cmMaintaining good practices will make your radio communications even more efficient!

Two-way radios have their own language and mode of use, are independent of cellular network signals, and, because they are widely used in critical operations and team management, radio communication requires its operator to ensure that all their daily operations become even more efficient.

Below are some best practices and recommendations for making better use of your radio system, avoiding problems, and increasing the effectiveness of your communications!

  1. Always check that your radio is tuned to the correct channel.
  2. Try to transmit short messages, avoiding unnecessary occupation of the transmission channel, as others may need the same channel.
  3. Before starting the broadcast, listen to the radio to see if there is already a conversation in progress. If there is, respect it!
  4. It is essential to convey messages briefly, clearly, and slowly.
  5. Avoid transmitting near equipment that generates high-pitched and loud noises, whenever possible.
  6. Do not use the radio to transmit messages of a personal nature, such as jokes or matters unrelated to work. Always maintain professionalism.
  7. Answer the radio promptly when you are called.
  8. In case of emergencies or disasters, it is important to keep the radio line free to respond to the most urgent cases.
  9. For good transmission quality, keep the microphone (PTT) or radio between 5 and 10 centimeters away from your mouth for better voice pickup and less ambient noise pickup.
